YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Mountain Lions baseball head coach Stephen Waggener has released the 2025 regular season schedule.
Coach Waggener says of the 2025 season, "In addition to competing in the toughest Division II conference in the country, we will have to navigate through a tough non-conference slate as well. In total our schedule includes 21 games against programs that are traditional NCAA regional teams. Including 9 games against programs that have won National Championships. Conference Carolinas had 4 NCAA Regional participant teams in 2024. Our season opener will be a non-conference matchup with Auburn-Montgomery who was a 2024 NCAA Regional Participant and finished 2nd in the Gulf South Conference." Continuing, "We also play Lee University two times this season, and they won the 2024 Gulf South Conference. The following week we will host a 3-game series against Columbus State who is a perennial regional contender and a former national champion. We will also have early season midweek contests against traditional NCAA regional teams Lee University and the University of North Georgia." Closing with, "We look forward to the strength of both our conference and non-conference schedule. The toughness of this schedule will be great preparation for the postseason."
