GREENEVILLE, Tenn. | YH were on the road for an afternoon game against the Pioneers of Tusculum University, and what unfolded was a high-scoring battle that turned into a statement comeback victory for the Mountain Lions. Trailing early and locked in a back and forth contest, Young Harris delivered a relentless offensive surge late to power past Tusculum, 16-9.
The Mountain Lions found themselves in an early hole after Tusculum jumped out to a 6-1 lead through three innings. But instead of folding, YH responded in a big way. A massive six run fourth inning flipped the game, highlighted by clutch hitting and a go ahead two run home run that gave Young Harris its first lead.
Even after Tusculum answered to reclaim a 9-7 advantage, the Mountain Lions stayed composed. A clutch two RBI double in the seventh inning tied the game and set the stage for a dominant finish.
