ITA SOUTHEAST REGIONAL RESULTS
SUMTER, S.C. | Young Harris men's tennis competed at the ITA Southeast Regional this past weekend.
Noah Pawirodirjo had the best tournament, making it all the way to the round of 16.

"It was great to see the men compete against top level competition at ITA's. Noah had an excellent tournament and reached the round of 16. He fought hard beating players from Georgia College, Columbus State, and sixth seeded Juho Kantola from North Greenville to earn his spot in the round of 16. Noah did a great job represented himself and Young Harris at Regionals."
In the round of 128, Pawirodirjo beat Georgia College's Rodrigo Perez Crespo in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2 to advance. Noah faced Samer Al Tori from Columbus State in the round of 64. Pawirodirjo won 6-3, 6-1 and advanced to the round of 32. On Sunday, Pawirodirjo battled in a conference clash against North Greenville's Juho Kantola. Noah won the match 6-3, 6-3 to make it to the round of 16. Pawirodirjo matched up against Flagler's Aniss Rafiq in the round of 16. Rafiq claimed the 6-3 6-1 victory to advance to the quarterfinals.
Caleb McCurry won his first match of the tournament 6-7, 6-3, 6-3 but fell in the next round 6-3, 6-2 to Catawba's Marcos Castares.
Greyson Williams also advanced past the opening round in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. In the round of 64, Lander's Mouad Naoui bested Williams 7-5, 6-2 to advance.
Mason Harmon and
Gregor Gottein fell to their opponents in the opening round 6-3, 6-3 and 7-6, [7-4], 6-3, respectively.
DOUBLES
Mason Harmon and
Noah Pawirodirjo were the best doubles pair for YHC. The duo took their opening match 9-8, [8-6] and advanced to the round of 16 after a walkover. In the round of 16, Harmon and Pawirodirjo took on Robing Elden and Pedro Liborio. Elden and Liborio won the match 8-3.
