LANDER BEARCAT INVITATIONAL YHC MEN'S RESULTS

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Over the weekend, the Mountain Lions had a good showing at the Lander Bearcat Invitational, picking up several wins on both the singles and doubles side (Oct 11th – 12th).

SINGLES:

On day one, Noah Pawirodirjo pulled out a close victory against Augusta's Enzo Garutti in his singles match. The results read (6-3, 5-7, 11-13) in this nail biter. Mason Harmon followed Pawirodirjo's win with one of his own, defeating Arthur Valette with a final score of (6-7, 5-7). Gregor Gottein secured a singles win as well (5-7, 5-7) over Limestone's Andres Cortes, but later dropped a match to David Perret of Augusta. Greyson Williams, Mika Sheth, Parker Rowan, and Caleb McCurry came up short in their day one matches.

On the second day of singles, Caleb McCurry came out victorious against Lander's Mouad Naoui (6-2, 6-4). Mason Harmon, Greyson Williams, and Holden Hall fought hard but did not add to the win column.

DOUBLES:

The Mountain Lions competed well in doubles this weekend. On day one, the McCurry/Hall duo split their matches. They won (6-4) over Augusta, but later dropped to Limestone. Rowan/Sheth came out on top twice, firstly defeating Augusta (7-5), and then Limestone (6-2). Harmon/Gottein were edged by some tough Augusta and Limestone opponents on day one.

Young Harris finished even in doubles on day two. McCurry continued to stay hot, this time with partner Greyson Williams; They defeated a Lander duo (6-4). Rowan/Gottein picked up a (7-5) win over Lander's Danielsson/Bilton team. In two close (4-6) losses, Harmon/Pawirodirjo and Sheth/Hall fell just short in their competition on day two.
