SUMTER, S.C. | The Young Harris College men's and women's tennis teams each sent four players to compete at the ITA Southeast Regional at the Palmetto Tennis Center September 22nd-25th. 

YHC combined for 12 wins throughout singles and doubles play. Emily Bush advanced to the round of 32 and Viviana Gomez advanced to the round of 16 in singles. Bush was seeded 32 and won her first round making it to the round of 32. Gomez was 3-1 in singles play and advanced to the round of 16. Simone Mercier won her first round matchup. 

Rodrigo Mendoza won his first round in singles play. Mendoza and Mason Harmon picked up wins in consolation play.

The Mountain Lions return to action Saturday (Sept. 30th-Oct. 1st) as they host the YHC Hidden Duals at the Bob and Gayle Nichols Tennis complex.
