Box Score YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Columbus State University defeated Young Harris College 4-0 in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Monday (April 17) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex in a battle of nationally ranked teams.
The No. 4-ranked Cougars improved to 13-4 overall and to 5-0 in the PBC, while the 45th-ranked Mountain Lions fell to 10-9 and 0-5. YHC concludes the regular season Tuesday (April 18) with a noon PBC match against Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.
INSIDE THE SCORESHEET:
- Gavin Thomas was the lone Mountain Lion to claim a set as he defeated his opponent 7-5 in the first set of his No. 4 singles match.
- Thomas and Mason Harmon was up 5-4 at No. 3 doubles before the doubles point was clinched by the Cougars.
