MARS HILL, N.C. | Marco Colina and 
Drew Bray each had a home run and combined to drive in seven runs as the No. 30 Young Harris College baseball team deafeted Mars Hill University 16-5 in a non-conference game Tuesday (Feb. 7) afternoon ar Henderson Field.
The Mountain Lions improved to 4-0, while the Lions remained winless in five attempts. Young Harris now heads for a three-game trip to the Sunshine State this weekend. YHC will face Lynn University Friday (Feb. 10)  at 2:30 p.m. in Boca Raton, Florida.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
	- The Mountain Lions collected 14 hits, with six going for extra bases.
- Young Harris scored in every inning, but the fourth and seventh.
- Rome Wallace started the scoring in the first with an RBI single to left.
- The Mountain Lions added a run on a wild pitch and another on a Colina ground out in the second.
- YHC added three more runs in the third. Steven Spell and Colina drove in runs with singles, while Ahmir Cournier drew a bases-loaded walk.
- James Basham doubled home a run in the fifth and Colina followed with a two-run homer to left-center field. It was Colina's second long ball of 2023.
- The Mountain Lions pushed three more runs across in the sixth. Jeremy Begora posted an RBI double to left, while Bray added a run-scoring single up the middle and Cournier added a sacrifice fly.
- Bray hit his second homer of the season in the eighth inning on a two-run shot down the right field line.
- YHC scored its final two runs in the ninth as Jarrett Ford drove in a run on a ground out and Jayden Carbonell-Smith laced a triple to run for an RBI.
- Ryan Heishman (1-0) earned the win in relief, allowing one earned run in 2.2 innings.
- Colin, Ethan Stamps, Begora, Spell and Bray each collected two hits.
