Mountain Lions remain in fifth place at Peach Belt Championship

ST. SIMON ISLAND, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's golf team remains in fifth place after the second round of the Peach Belt Conference Championship Saturday (April 16).
  • INSIDE THE SCORECARDS:
  • The Mountain Lions lopped off 18 strokes from their opening round to shoot 320 in the second round on the par 71, 5,974-yard course at the Sea Palms Resort to stand at 658 after 36 holes.
  • Columbus State University and Flagler are tied after the second round at 626, two strokes better than Lander University.
  • Young Harris' Peyton Rich moved close to the top of the leaderboard as her two-over par 73 - one off of her career low score - put in solo fourth place at 152.
  • Emma Agermo and Erica Andersson are tied for 18th place at 166. Agermo cut 10 strokes off her opening score to shoot 78 in the second round, while Erica Andersson had an 84.
  • Emma Andersson posted an 85 and is in 23rd place at 174, while Connor Johnson also signed for 85 and is tied for 24th at 175.
  • Young Harris tee off its final round of the 54-hole tournament at 8:45 a.m. Sunday (April 17) from the No. 10 tee.
