Lynn spoils season opener for Young Harris

BOCA RATON, Fla. | Danielle Farinas scored five goals as Lynn University defeated Young Harris College 22-5 in a non-conference women's lacrosse match Thursday (Feb. 3) at Bobby Campbell Field.

The Fighting Knights improved to 1-0, while the Mountain Lions fell to 0-1. YHC continues its trip to the Sunshine State Friday (Feb. 4) with a 5 p.m. contest against Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

Lynn took control of the match by outscoring the Mountain Lions 10-1 in the first quarter.
Taylor Greenberg led YHC with two goals, while Emily Flynt, Ella Hancock and Ruthie Mandell each found the back of the net once.
Flynt and Kinsley Purser each dished out the assist.
Purser led the Mountain Lions with three draw controls, while Hancock posted two.
Rachel Robb and Maddy Meyers each collected three saves in the YHC goal, while Abbie Gallagher had two.
