GREENVILLE, Tenn. | The Young Harris College baseball team picked up a 10-1 road win over Tusculum University Tuesday (Feb. 22) afternoon at Pioneer Park.
The Mountain Lions improved to 7-4, while the Pioneers fell to 7-4. Young Harris returns to action Saturday (Feb. 26) with a 2 p.m. Central time doubleheader against the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Marco Colina put Young Harris on top 3-0 in the second inning with a three-run home run - his first of the season - to left center.
- Logan Worley, Kyle Ayers, Jackson Jones, and Colina each collected one double in the game.
- The Mountain Lions totaled 12 hits. Ayers and Ethan Underwood recorded three each.
- McLain Harris (1-0) earned the win for Young Harris. Harris pitched three innings, he struck out three and allowed one run.
- Colina totaled four RBI, while Underwood had three, Jones had two, and Worley drove in one.
- Rome Wallace had the only stolen base of the night for the Mountain Lions.
- Brice Anders (0-1) got the loss for Tusculum.
