CLEVELAND, Tenn. | Steven Spell and
Marco Colina combined to drive in five runs as the No. 26 Young Harris College baseball team defeated No. 17 Lee University 10-4 in a non-conference game Wednesday (Feb. 16) afternoon at Larry Carpenter Stadium.

Stephen Waggener picked up his 100th victory - all at YHC - as a collegiate head coach with the Mountain Lion victory. YHC improved to 6-1 overall, while the Flames fell to 5-3. Young Harris returns to Zell B. Miller Field this weekend for a three-game series against the University of Southern Indiana. The series starts Friday (Feb. 18) with a 3 p.m. first pitch.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- YHC took a 1-0 lead in the second. Ethan Underwood led off with a single, moved to second on a wild pitch. He moved up 90 feet on a fly ball before scoring on Spell's ground out.
- The Mountain Lions broke the game open with a five-run fourth inning. Spell started the scoring with a two-run single down the right field line before Colina added a sacrifice fly. YHC scored its final two runs on wild pitches.
- Young Harris took a 9-0 lead with a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth. Colina had an RBI single to right in the fifth, while Jackson Jones added a run-scoring single and Noah Fitzgerald contributed a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
- The Mountain Lions scored their final run in the eight on a Jackson Kemp RBI single to left-center field.
- Dylan Beck (1-0) pitched three scoreless innings of relief for the win.
- The Mountain Lions collected 13 hits, including two each from Logan Worley, Jones, Fitzgerald, and Spell.
