HARROGATE, Tenn. | The Young Harris College men's tennis team wrapped up their trip to Tennessee with a 4-3 win ove Lincoln Memorial University Sunday (Feb. 13) afternoon at the LMU Indoor Tennis Facility.
The Mountain Lions improved to 3-2, while the Railsplitters fell to 0-2. YHC returns to the court Saturday (Feb. 19) when they host Anderson (S.C.) University in a 2 p.m. match at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- The Mountain Lions picked up the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead. Romeo Luque and Pieke Bouman earned a 6-3 win at No. 3 before RodrigoMendoza and Chimo Minguez Ribera claimed a 6-4 decision at No. 2.
- Young Harris and LMU split the six singles matches. Luque registered a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 5, before Bouman and Eric DelValle earned three-set victories in their matches. Bouman captured a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (5) decision at No. 1, while DelValle tallied a 7-5,1-6, 1-0 (7) win at No. 6.
