HARROGATE, Tenn. | Tusculum University held off Young Harris College 4-3 in a men's tennis match Saturday (Feb. 12) afternoon at the LMU Tennis Complex.
The 23rd-ranked Pioneers improved to 2-1, while the Mountain Lions fell to 2-2. YHC wraps up the road trip Sunday (Feb. 13) at 9 a.m. as they face Lincoln Memorial University.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- The Mountain Lions jumped out to a 1-0 lead after claiming the doubles point. Janis Auslands and Eric DelValle picked up a 6-4 decision at No. 1, while Rodrigo Mendoza and Chimo Minguez Ribera earned a 6-1 victory at No. 3.
- Tusculum won the first four singles matches to clinch the win, before Auslands earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4 and DelValle took a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 6.
