FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | Emmanuel (Ga.) College edged Young Harris College 4-3 in a non-conference men's tennis match Tuesday (Oct. 4) aftternoon.
The Lions improved to 1-0, while the Mountain Lions fell to 0-1.Â
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Emmanuel took a 1-0 lead after the doubles point. Rodrigo Mendoza and Chimo Minguez Ribera claimed the 6-2 victory for YHC at No. 1 doubles, but the Lions took the second and third flights for the point.
- Minguez Ribera, Mendoza and Janis Auslands each picked up singles wins in three sets. Minguez Ribera won 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2, while Mendoza claimed a 6-7 (4), 7-5, 1-0 (9) at No. 3 and Auslands clinched a 7-6 (2), 2-6, 1-0 (9) decision at No. 5.
