AUGUSTA, Ga. | Emma Andersson and
Erica Andersson from Young Harris College have been named to the Peach Belt Conference Team of Academic Distinction for women's golf.
The team is part of a season-long program recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of PBC student-athletes in the classroom as well as on the field. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must participate in at least half of her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and completed at least one full academic year at her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
Emma Andersson
- Andersson is from Nykoping, Sweden.
- Andersson has a 3.93 cumulative grade-point average as a management major.
- In 18 rounds (seven events), she compiled an 81.9 stroke average in the 2020-21 season.
- She shot a season best 76 in the second round of the Low Tide Intercollegiate.
- Andersson has been named to the PBC Team of Academic Distinction twice.
Erica Andersson
- Andersson is from Nykoping, Sweden.
- Andersson has a 3.73 cumulative GPA as a sports and recreational studies major.
- In 18 rounds (seven events), she posted an 82.6 stroke average in the 2020-21 season.
- She finished tied for 10th place at Full Moon Invitational.
- Andersson shot a season best 76 in the first rounds of the Full Moon Invitational and the World Golf Invitational.
- Andersson has been named to the PBC Team of Academic Distinction twice.
