Young Harris runs at NCAA Division II Southeast Regional

SPARTANBURG, S.C. | The Young Harris College men's cross country team competed in the 2021 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Saturday (Nov. 6) morning.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
  • Young Harris finished in 21st place with 578 points.
  • Wingate University won the meet with 33 points, 40 better than second place Queens University of Charlotte.
  • Kai Vigardt was the top Mountain Lion in the field as he came in 92nd place on the 10K Milliken Research Park course with a time of 34:55.6.
  • Luke Surowiec finished in 117th place at 36:09.7, while Thomas Mellendorf came in 122nd with an effort of 36:20.9.
  • Hayden Durrett had a time of 36:45.5 and came in 130th place, while Liam King came in 134th with a time of 36:57.2.
  • Jack Rush posted a time of 37:53.8 and came in 144th, while Hunter Payne came in 148th place with a time of 38:31.6.
