FAIRBURN, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's cross country team placed 20th in the Asics Invitational Saturday  (Oct. 2) morning. 
 
The Mountain Lions return to action Saturday (Oct. 9) at 9:15 a.m. as they compete in  the Bobcat Invitational in Milledgeville, Georgia. 
 
INSIDE THE MEET RESULTS:

• Young Harris finished 20th in the 8K race with 595 points. 
• Augusta University won the race, while Georgia Tech came in second, and Emmanuel (Ga.) College came in third. 
• Kai Vigardt was the top YHC runner – 154th place - on the Chattahoochee Hills Eventing at Bouckaert Farms course with a time of 29:12.40. 
• Luke Surowiec came in second for the Mountain Lions -165th place with a time of 29:28.47, while Hunter Payne finished in 174th with a time of 29:49.03. 
• Thomas Mellendorf finished in 177th place running a 29:52.49.
• Liam King finished in 180th with a time of 29:57.68, and Jack Rush came in 183rd place with a time of 30:08.03.
• Hayden Durrett had a time of 30:50.55, finishing in 192nd place. 
• The two final runners for YHC were Austin Sever, who came in 215th with a time of 32:48.62, while Nhan Le finished in a time of 34:42.34, good for 225th. 
• The course will host the Peach Belt Conference Championship Oct. 23.
