HARTSVILLE, S.C. | Behind the strength of two top-10 efforts, the Young Harris College women's golf team is in fourth place after the opening round of the Coker Women's Spring Invitational Monday (March 18) afternoon.
The Mountain Lions shot 312 on the par 72, 5,828-yard layout at the Hartsville Country Club and is just eight strokes behind tournament leader Anderson (S.C.) University, which shot 304. Tournament host Coker College is in second place at 309, while Barton College is third at 310.
Leading the way for Young Harris was
Emma Andersson, who is tied for fourth place with a two-over par 74.
Hannah Walker is also inside the top 10 as she is tied for seventh after posting a 76.
Emma Agermo carded an 80 and is tied for 23rd place, while
Peyton Rich signed for an 82 and is tied for 32nd.
Savannah Rainbolt fired an 85 and is tied for 53rd place.
The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (March 19) morning.
