LUMBERTON, N.C. | The Young Harris College men's cross country team finished in ninth place at the Peach Belt Conference Championship Saturday (Oct. 26) morning at Luther Britt Park.
The Mountain Lions finished with a team score of 266. Augusta University won the team event with a score of 29, 27 points ahead of Flagler College.
Luke Surowiec was named to the PBC All-Sportsmanship team.
Surowiec was the top finisher for Young Harris as he placed 44th with a time of 29:57.5.
Juan Lopez finished 67th with a time of 31:29.1 and
Colby Ives recorded a time of 32:08.2 while finishing in 72nd place.
Nhan Le finished 76th with a time of 34:00.4, followed by
Axel Baleon-Ruiz (34:18.8, 77th) and
Jakob Brown (personal best 34:31.6, 80th).
