AUGUSTA, Ga. | Augusta University defeated Young Harris College 8-1 in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory Sunday (March 13) afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center.

The No. 44-ranked Jaguars improved to 10-2 overall and to 3-2 in the league, while the No. 41-ranked Mountain Lions fell to 6-6 and 1-5. Young Harris will host the University of Illinois at Springfield in a 2 p.m. match Friday (March 18) in Dahlonega, Georgia.

Alex Pavel earned the point for the Mountain Lions as he won his match at No. 2 singles 7-6, 3-2 retired.
