HICKORY, N.C. | The Young Harris College men's tennis team defeated Lenoir-Rhyne University 8-1 in a non-conference match Thursday (Feb. 18) afternoon at the Hickory High School Tennis Courts.

The Mountain Lions, who are ranked No. 39 in the latest ITA NCAA Division II rankings, improved to 4-0 while the Bears fell to 1-3. Young Harris opens up its home schedule as well as its Peach Belt Conference opener Feb. 20 when they face Flagler College in a 10 a.m. match at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.

Daniel Tiboldi preserved two set points – one at 5-3 and another at 5-4 – to rally for a 7-5 win in the first set over Shane O'Dea at No. 3 singles. Tiboldi easily won the second set 6-1 to earn the win for the Mountain Lions.
