GREENWOOD, S.C. – Lander University eliminated Young Harris College 5-0 in a first-round match of the NCAA NCAA Division II Southeast Region Men's Tennis Tournament Sunday (May 3) afternoon at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

The Mountain Lions, who are ranked No. 39 in the latest ITA rankings, were the region's No. 7 seed in their first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament. Young Harris ended its best-ever season in the NCAA era with a 13-9 mark, while No. 8 Lander, who are the region's No. 2 seed, improved to 16-3 and advanced to Monday's (May 4) regional final.
