YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Young Harris College defeated its second consecutive nationally ranked opponent when the Mountain Lions recorded a 7-2 Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory over No. 21 Georgia Regents University Augusta Monday (March 16) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Mountain Lions won their third consecutive match overall as they improved to 7-4 this season, including a 2-4 ledger in league play. Young Harris will host Dalton State College in a 3 p.m. match Wednesday (March 18).
Young Harris opened up a 2-1 lead after doubles. The Jaguars tied the match at 2 as they claimed the first singles point, but the Mountain Lions claimed the other five singles points to record the win.
