GREENVILLE, S.C. | Conference Carolinas announced its 2026 softball pre postseason awards, naming Jessie Homesley Coach of the Year after leading the Mountain Lions to one of the top seasons in program history. Homesley guided Young Harris to a 31-15 overall record, including an impressive 23-5 mark in conference play, earning the No. 2 seed in the Conference Carolinas Championship.

The Mountain Lions' rise marks a significant improvement from last season's 22-22 regular season finish, highlighting the continued growth of the program under Homesley's leadership. Along the way, she coached the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year in Julia Moore, while also leading three First Team All-Conference selections and one At-Large honoree, further solidifying Young Harris as a big contender heading into postseason play.
