YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College Softball pitcher Julia Moore has been named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for April, marking her third consecutive Freshman of the Month honor after also earning the award in February and March. Moore continued her dominant freshman campaign in the circle, helping lead the Mountain Lions through the final stretch of the regular season and into postseason play.
Moore made 10 appearances and five starts during the month, posting a 1.03 ERA with a 3-2 record and 25 strikeouts across 34.0 innings pitched. She threw a one-hit shutout against Emmanuel in five innings before recording both a save and a complete-game victory in a doubleheader sweep of Shorter. Moore also delivered one of her strongest performances of the season in an eight-inning complete-game win over Erskine, allowing just three runs, two earned, while striking out nine. She closed the month by earning a save against North Greenville in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, continuing to shine in high-pressure moments for the Mountain Lions.
