YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College dropped an 18-8 decision to Newberry College in a non-conference men's lacrosse match Wednesday afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. 

The Mountain Lions were limited offensively as Newberry used a strong second-quarter surge to gain the upper hand and remain in control the rest of the game. 

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Mathias Clark paced the Mountain Lions with two goals and one assist, while Colburn Connelly added two goals. 

• Kyren Fields, Knox Holston, Gunnar Fagerstrom, and Noah Elam each scored a goal for YHC. 

• Grady Stokes dished out two assists to lead the Mountain Lions, while John McElhenny and Evan Anderson each recorded an assist. 

• Anderson led YHC at the face-off X, winning five. 

• Thomas Castiglia made seven saves in forty-five minutes in goal for the Mountain Lions, while Jonah Polhemus stopped four shots over the final fifteen minutes. 

• Young Harris finished three-for-three on clears in the second quarter and posted a man-up goal late in the fourth.
