YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College Mountain Lions dropped a midweek contest to North Georgia on Tuesday afternoon, falling 16–3 at home.
North Georgia used a powerful offensive surge, including a nine-run fourth inning, to seize control and never looked back.

The Nighthawks struck first with a two-run homer from B. Yeomans in the second inning before adding two more runs in the third to build a 4–0 lead.
North Georgia broke the game open in the fourth, plating nine runs highlighted by a four-run home run from J. Streeter to extend the advantage to 13–0.
Young Harris answered in the bottom of the fourth when Sydney Ward singled home Jackson Morgan and Carlos Martans followed with an RBI single to score Jonny Smith. The Mountain Lions added another run in the fifth on a groundout by Jack Enrico that brought home Kade Smallwood.
North Georgia added two runs in the sixth and a solo homer in the seventh to account for the final margin.
