Greenville, S.C. | The Young Harris men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish tied for fifth in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll.
Building off a 2025 campaign where the Mountain Lions finished with a 6-9 record and a trip to the Conference Carolinas Tournament, Young Harris will aim to reach new heights under the direction of head coach Branden Geldart. YH will look to climb the conference rankings after being selected tied for fifth in the preseason poll with 33 points. North Greenville was picked to win the conference with 59 votes and four first-place votes in the preseason poll.
Players to Watch:
The Mountain Lions return a core of experience and key players for the 2026 season. Junior attackman Grady Stokes from Queen City, Arizona will look to build off his 2025 campaign where he earned second team All-Conference Carolinas and led the team with 47 points by netting 16 goals and adding 31 assists. Colburn Connelly, the senior midfielder from New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada will return as the team's leading scorer from 2025 where he scored 24 goals and will look to provide a spark on both ends of the field. Evan Anderson, the senior face off specialist from Canton, Georgia will look to build off his successful 2025 campaign where he went 192-329 for a .584 face off percentage and scooped up 88 ground balls.
The 2026 Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Championship will begin with quarterfinals games on April 22nd at campus sites, with the semifinals and championship being held at Young Harris College on April 24-26. The Mountain Lions will aim for a return to the Conference Carolinas Tournament and defend their home turf in the semifinals and championship games.
