YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College Men's Lacrosse program is excited to announce the addition of Tanner Redmon to its coaching staff as an Assistant Coach, Head Coach Branden Geldart recently announced.
"We are very excited to have Tanner back on campus this fall," said coach Geldart. "Tanner has a great work ethic and a deep commitment to improving the program. I look forward to seeing the positive impact he makes on the program and in his role with the admissions office."
Redmon, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, is a 2025 graduate of Young Harris College, where he earned his degree in Graphic Design. A four-year midfielder for the Mountain Lions, Redmon appeared in 52 games, scoring three goals and adding two assists. He fired 39 shots, scooped up 34 ground balls, and caused 18 turnovers during his collegiate career.
While this marks Redmon's first official coaching role, his 12 years of playing experience and deep connection to the program position him as a valuable asset to the coaching staff.
"I am so grateful to be returning to the Enchanted Valley," said Redmon. "As a recent alum, I am so excited to be able to return in assisting my juniors in succeeding. Working alongside Coach Geldart, I am prepared to help continue to propel this program forward by providing my full support and effort to the student-athletes. I am thankful to both Aaron Bessey and Coach Geldart for the opportunity to return to the Mountain Lion Family and for giving me the ability to continue to positively impact the men's lacrosse program. Go Mountain Lions!"
Redmon's return is a welcome addition to the Mountain Lions coaching staff. As a recent graduate and former player, he brings familiarity with the program and a strong desire to help current student-athletes grow both on and off the field. His hiring continues a growing trend of Young Harris alumni stepping into leadership roles across campus; Tanner is the latest Young Harris graduate to return and take on a larger role within their respective avenues.
