YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College Men's Lacrosse team fell to Belmont Abbey 24-6 on Saturday afternoon at the YHC Lacrosse Field.
Belmont Abbey controlled the game from the opening faceoff, jumping out to a 8-1 lead in the first quarter and extending the advantage to 13-1 at halftime. The Crusaders continued to build momentum in the third quarter, outscoring Young Harris 7-2 to take a commanding 20-3 lead into the final period.
Young Harris showed fight late, scoring three goals in the fourth quarter, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.
Cason Diamond led the Mountain Lions offensively with two goals, while Indiana Crawford, Gunnar Fagerstrom, Noah Cosby, and Colburn Connelly each added a goal.
