GREENVILLE, S.C. | Four members of the Young Harris College men's lacrosse program were recognized with all-conference honors by Conference Carolinas, as announced ahead of the 2025 championship semifinals. The Mountain Lions saw impactful performances throughout the roster with players earning spots on both the first and second teams.
Senior defender Ben Soenen was named to the first team after a dominant season on the back line. Hailing from New Westminster, British Columbia, Soenen started 14 games for the Mountain Lions and led the conference with 38 caused turnovers, averaging 2.38 per game. He also added 55 ground balls—ranking 14th in the league—and showcased his versatility with seven goals and four assists for eleven total points. Soenen consistently set the tone with his defensive presence, earning recognition as one of the top two-way poles in the league.
Joining Soenen on the first team was senior long stick midfielder Kieran Isbister, also from New Westminster, British Columbia. Isbister made his presence felt across all 15 games this season, collecting 44 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers while contributing offensively with three goals and three assists. He finished the regular season ranked 15th in caused turnovers per game (1.15) and 17th in ground balls per game (3.08), playing a key role in the transition game for Young Harris.
On the second team, senior midfielder Hunter Stagg and sophomore attacker Grady Stokes rounded out the Mountain Lions' honorees. Stagg, from Cumming, Georgia, led the team with 24 goals and added 11 assists for 35 total points. He also picked up 23 ground balls and ranked among the top 20 in the conference in goals, points, and shots per game. Stokes, a native of Queen Creek, Arizona, led Young Harris in total points (47), finishing with 16 goals and a team-high 31 assists. He ranked second in Conference Carolinas in assists per game (2.08) and also contributed 19 ground balls and seven caused turnovers in his 14 starts.
