QUOTE FROM DIRECTOR OF TRACK & FIELD MATT LOGAN:

"We had an up-and-down two days against very strong Division I competition. We had several good results, but I don't think our approach and focus were great over the two days. I am looking forward to bouncing back at UNCA in a couple weeks."

Women's Highlights:

  • The women's team had a standout performance in the distance events, led by Julia Hargrove, who dominated the 5,000-meter run, securing first place with a time of 19:56.10. Emma Anderson (21:45.10), Caroline Bass (21:54.21), and Chesney Johnson (22:07.19) followed with strong finishes, taking second, third, and fourth place, respectively.

  • Brynley Walraven continued to prove herself as a top middle-distance competitor, finishing ninth in the 1,500 meters (5:01.81). Cadence McClung also ran a solid race, crossing the line in 5:34.13.

Men's Highlights:

  • On the men's side, Aidan Vrazel once again delivered a commanding performance, winning the 5,000-meter race with a time of 15:47.28. Brayden Figgins secured second place (15:53.41), and Austin Dezwart (16:01.09) finished fourth.

  • Xander Potter impressed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing third with a time of 10:38.28.

  • In the middle distances, Ryder Holland led the Mountain Lions in the 800 meters, finishing seventh with a time of 2:01.26, followed closely by Luke Sigman (2:02.62) and Noah Scheuer (2:04.77). Noah Mason ran a competitive 1,500 meters, finishing in 4:12.10.
