YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. Young Harris couldn't overcome the slow start and ultimately fell to Mount Olive 17-8 (Mar 19
th). It was a tough go for the Lady Mountain Lions this afternoon as they found themselves in a 10-1 hole late in the first half. However, YH put together a good stretch in the middle of the second half. They scored four unanswered goals from the 4:29 mark in the third quarter to the 9:41 mark in the fourth.
The Mountain Lions move to 5-5 overall and are 0-1 in Conference Carolinas. The Trojans move to 3-6 overall and are 2-1 in Conference Carolinas.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
· Young Harris was a perfect 8-8 on clearing the ball in this one.
· The Mountain Lions were led by
Brooklyn Kiest and
Riley Parker. They each scored three goals apiece.
· Abbie Gallagher saved 10 goals for YH in the loss.
· Mary Troyer had the lone assist for the Mountain Lions as well as having six draw controls.
· Riley Parker grabbed a team high five ground balls.
· The Trojans were led by Alexa Fitzgerald's four goals.
