FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions returned home with a two-game sweep against Emmanuel University on March 18th. In game one, Young Harris College secured an 8-5 victory, followed by a commanding 13-1 win in game two. The Mountain Lions improved to 12-12, while Emmanuel University dropped to 12-15. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:  

(GAME ONE)  

• Shelby Duncan started the scoring in the third with an RBI double, bringing home Castleberry to put Young Harris ahead 1-0. 

• Grace Young followed up with an RBI single, allowing Bailee Brown to score, making it 2-0 in the third. 

• Gracie Hughes added to the lead with a sacrifice fly, bringing home Duncan to increase the lead to 3-0. 

• Shayla Pennington scored on a wild pitch in the fourth, pushing the Mountain Lion's to 4-0. 

• Bailee Brown contributed an RBI single in the fourth, bringing Castleberry home and extending the lead to 5-0. 

• Castleberry's two-run single in the fifth helped secure the victory, making the score 7-0. 

• Ellee Varner added a crucial play, driving in a run with a single in the sixth in favor of the Lions. 

• Emmanuel's Gabby Buffington was a key contributor for Emmanuel, hitting a three-run home run in the seventh to lessen Young Harris' lead. 

(GAME TWO)  

• Gracie Hughes initiated the scoring in the third inning with a sacrifice fly, bringing in Shelby Duncan to give Young Harris a 1-0 lead. 

• In the fourth, Emmanuel's Ciara Passmore doubled to center field, driving in Gabby Buffington to tie the game at 1-1. 

• The Mountain Lions then dominated the fifth inning: 

• Hughes smashed a single to left, bringing in Bailey Brown to take back the lead, 2-1. 

• Jess Jaruszewski pulled a two-RBI single to center to make it 4-1. 

• Avery Fielden followed up with a clutch two-run single, pushing it to 6-1. 

• Jordan Morris crushed a double to left center, driving in Fielden and Shayla Pennington for an 8-1 lead. 

• Duncan kept the momentum rolling with an RBI single with Young Harris quickly advancing 9-1. 

• Grace Young added another with a sharp infield single pushing the lead 10-1. 

• Hughes' sac fly tacked on yet another point for the Mountain Lions (10-1). 

• Jaruszewski tallied her third RBI, 12-1. 

• Fielden sealed the inning with one final RBI, with Young scoring the final 13-1.
