BANNER ELK, NC |Â Back and forth match ultimately ends in victory for Young Harris on the road at Lees-McRae (Mar 15
th). It was a slow start for the Mountain Lions who were outscored 8-4 in the first quarter, but a strong third quarter allowed the men in purple to take a 13-12 lead into the fourth, which they would ultimately hold onto.
David Traywick and
Hunter Stagg combined for nine of the Mountain Lions 15 goals on the day.Â

The Mountain Lions move to 4-4 overall and are 2-0 in Conference Carolinas. The Bobcats fall to 2-6 overall and are 0-2 in Conference Carolinas. Â

·     Hunter Stagg had an efficient day, connecting on four of seven shots as well as dishing out an assist. Â
·     Evan Anderson grabbed a team high 10 ground balls and won 16 of 27 face offs.Â
·     Grady Stokes put together a solid day dishing out four assists and scoring two goals. Â
·     YH did a great job of clearing the ball today, converting 18 of 19 attempts. Â
·     The Mountain Lions scored the decisive goal with 4:15 remaining when
Grady Stokes found
Hunter Stagg for his fourth and final goal of the day.Â
·     Thomas Castiglia was credited with the win saving four of 10 shots on goal in roughly 46 minutes of defending the net.Â
