GREENWOOD, S.C. | The Mountain Lions battled on the road but came up short in a 17-6 loss to the Bearcats on Saturday (Feb. 15). Young Harris had three different goal scorers, with Niah Anderson and Riley Parker each netting two goals. 

The Mountain Lions move to 1-2, while Lander improves to 3-1. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• Niah Anderson and Riley Parker led the Mountain Lions with two goals each, while Brooklyn Kiest and Mary Troyer added one apiece. 

• Troyer also contributed an assist, finishing with two points. 

• Young Harris totaled 10 draw controls, with Troyer leading the way with six. 

• The Mountain Lions forced 16 turnovers while committing 20. 

• Goalkeepers Abbie Gallagher and McKenna Graf combined for four saves in the contest. 

• Brooke Kelly was a standout for Lander with four goals. 

• The Bearcats held a 25-15 advantage in total shots.
