Bleshoy’s Record Breaking Performance Pushes YHC Past Belmont Abbey!

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions returned to The Harp for a home Conference Carolinas matchup on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 6) and delivered a strong offensive push against Belmont Abbey and won, 71-46. Player of the game goes to Cameron Bleshoy as he broke the Single-Game rebounding record with 20 rebounds and 8 points.  

With the Win, Young Harris rises to 3-1 in conference play and to 5–3 overall, while Belmont Abbey falls to 1-1 in conference play and 2–4 overall.  


INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:  

  • Freshman Guard RJ Williams led the attack for the Mountain Lions with 18 points and 4 steals in only 24 minutes of play.  

  • Young Harris opened the second half with a 17-0 run. Taking total control of the game.  

  • Young Harris shot 41.5 percent (27-for-65) from the field, 24.0 percent (6-for-25) from three, and 84.6 percent (11-for-13) at the line. 

  • Young Harris was able to force 16 turnovers and nab 14 steals.  

  • Belmont Abbey was paced by Shane Potts, who finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds.
