GREENVILLE, S.C.| Conference Carolinas has unveiled its 2025-26 Winter Scholar-Athletes of the Year Presented by Hudl.
The Scholar-Athlete awards Presented by Hudl are awarded annually to one individual in each Conference Carolinas sponsored sport. The Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners are chosen by the Conference Carolinas Student-Athlete Affairs and Awards Committee.
To be considered, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher. In addition, the nominees for the award must have been named all-conference in their sport and also chosen academic all-conference.
Carl Cleveland has been named the Conference Carolinas Winter Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's basketball. Cleveland leaves Young Harris as the all-time Young Harris men's basketball leader in points, rebounds, games started and field goals made. He finished the season as the 2025-2026 D2 leader in total points while being second in the nation in points per page. Cleveland led Conference Carolinas in points, points per game and finished fourth in rebounds per game. For his historic season, Cleveland was named Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, Southeast Region Player of the Year and a D2 All-American.
Carl Cleveland exemplified the meaning of a student athlete this season, receiving a multitude of prestigious honors while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.
