YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's soccer team continues to set the standard in Conference Carolinas, with nine Mountain Lions earning spots on the 2025 All-Conference teams. The honors come on the heels of another dominant season that saw Young Harris capture its third consecutive Southwest Division title and maintained a top-15 national ranking throughout the fall. 

Leading the way with First Team All-Conference selections were forwards Leho Le Louarn and Filip Zander, midfielders Thomas Kleinpenning and Bjarne Renner, and defender Ignacio Arribere. Le Louarn, a senior, capped off his final season in the Enchanted Valley with a team-leading 10 goals, including five assists, and 25 points. His knack for scoring in crucial moments was evident in his three game-winning goals, and his standout performances earned him two Mountain Lion of the Week honors and a Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week nod. 

Zander, a sophomore, matched Le Louarn's 25-point total with nine goals and seven assists, showcasing his growth and versatility in the attacking third. His ability to both finish and create opportunities made him a vital piece of the Mountain Lion offense. Midfielder Thomas Kleinpenning was a force all season, earning Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year honors. He led the league with 11 assists, ranked third nationally in NCAA Division II, and added nine goals to finish with a team-best 29 points. His consistent excellence was recognized with two Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week awards. 

Joining Kleinpenning in the midfield was junior Bjarne Renner, who started all 16 matches and contributed four goals and six assists. His ability to control the tempo and distribute the ball made him a key figure in the Mountain Lions' midfield engine. On the defensive end, junior Ignacio Arribere anchored the back line with poise and precision, starting every match and logging over 1,380 minutes. His leadership and defensive awareness were instrumental in Young Harris's strong defensive record. 

The Second Team All-Conference included junior defender Alfredo Guerra and freshman Ondrej Kopecký. Guerra was a model of consistency, starting all 16 matches and contributing a goal, an assist, and a game-winner while playing over 1,300 minutes. Kopecky made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season, starting 12 of his 13 matches played and providing a steady presence in the back. 

Rounding out the Mountain Lions' honorees were Third Team All-Conference selections Daniel Osorno and Philip Abda. Osorno, a freshman forward, impressed with six goals and four assists in 16 appearances, proving to be a rising star in the program. Sophomore midfielder Abda added depth and scoring punch with four goals and one assist, contributing to the team's dynamic midfield rotation. 

Under the leadership of Coach Dean Grey, who was recently named Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year, the Mountain Lions continue to build on their legacy of excellence as their postseason push begins!
