YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College standout Kleinpenning has been a driving force behind the Mountain Lions' offensive success this season, earning him First Team All-Conference honors and the prestigious title of Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year. The dynamic playmaker led the league with 11 assists, ranking third nationally in NCAA Division II, and finished second in NCAA Division II with an average of 0.69 assists per game. His ability to create scoring opportunities was matched by his finishing touch, as he netted nine goals, placing him fourth in the league. With 29 total points, Kleinpenning ranks second in the conference and fifth in the nation, while his 1.81 points per game average is the 10th-best mark in Division II.

Kleinpenning's consistency and explosiveness were on full display throughout the 2025 campaign. Starting all 16 matches, he recorded three multi-goal games and added three more with at least two assists, including a standout three-assist performance in a dominant win over Erskine College on October 11. His 29 shots, 16 of which were on target, underscore his precision and attacking prowess, while his three game-winning goals highlight his clutch performances in key moments. As the Mountain Lions continue on in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, Kleinpenning's contributions have firmly cemented his place among the elite in collegiate soccer.

Head coach Dean Grey says, "Tommy's influence and impact on and off the field is a large part of our success over the past three years, particularly this year. His attacking ability, IQ and leadership without a doubt is one of the best in the country. We're fortunate to have Tommy as a Mountain Lion and hope his qualities can push us towards greater things this season."
