YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Coming off a bye-week, the #2 ranked Young Harris College Men's Soccer team powered past the #5 ranked University of Mount Olive with a commanding 5-0 victory on Saturday (Nov. 8) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field, completing a postseason sweep and advancing to the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament.
The Mountain Lions struck early and often, opening the scoring in the 12th minute and adding two more goals before halftime. Ignacio Arribere netted the opener, followed by a brace from Thomas Kleinpenning in the 21st and 39th minutes. Your Player of the Match, Leho Le Louarn, added two second-half goals in the 52nd and 66th minutes to seal the win along with an assist.
With the win, Young Harris improves to 13-1-3 overall (11-1-11 in conference play), while Mount Olive concludes its season with a 4-9-6 overall record (2-5-5 in the conference).
