FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | The Young Harris College Men's Basketball team earned a statement win in its first Roar War matchup of the season, defeating Emmanuel University 67-55 on Tuesday (Nov. 25) at Shaw Athletic Center. The victory moves the Mountain Lions to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in Conference Carolinas play. 

Young Harris overcame a three-point halftime deficit, outscoring Emmanuel 43-28 in the second half to secure the win. The Mountain Lions shot 57.1% from the field after the break and dominated the paint with 34 points. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• Carl Cleveland powered the Mountain Lions with a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds, recording another double-double this season. Cleveland also added an assist and two steals in 38 minutes of action. 

• Justin Payne provided a strong scoring punch with 19 points, hitting two three-pointers and collecting three steals. 

• Kelvin Hunter chipped in nine points and six rebounds, while Cameron Bleshoy added seven points and six boards. 

• Young Harris finished the game shooting 45.5% from the field and scored 16 fast-break points. 

• The Mountain Lions converted 14 points off turnovers and held Emmanuel to just 20 points in the paint. 

• Emmanuel was led by Ezra McKee, who scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Brady Peery and Andrija Vujacic each added 11 points for the Lions.
