ROME, Ga. After being tied at the half, the Mountain Lions pulled away in the second twenty minutes to secure a 66-61 win over the Shorter University Hawks (Jan 28
th).
Carl Cleveland and
Karl Chavis paved the way for another YH road win.Â

The Mountain Lions advance to 14-5 overall and are 9-2 in Conference Carolinas. The Hawks move to 4-13 overall and are 2-9 in Conference Carolinas.Â

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Karl Chavis & Carl Cleveland each hung 17 on the Hawks, showing dominance in the paint and from the deep court. Cleveland was 6-12 from the field and Chavis made 3 of 5 from downtown.
- Cameron Bleshoy was one who stepped up when the team needed him. He put up 11 points, 4-4 from FG, and picked up 4 rebounds.
- Chavis (9) and Cleveland (8) were the Mountain Lion leaders for boards.
- Shorter won the game in the paint, scoring 34 to Young Harris's 28.
- However, YHC out-rebounded SU 35-29.
- Chris Bibbs was the standout for Shorter. He ended the night with 22 points and 6 boards.
- The Mountain Lions defended the long ball well, holding the Hawks to a 25% 3PT shooting efficiency.
