QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH JEREMY CURRIER:
"First I want to thank everyone that came to support our guys. We have an incredible home court atmosphere and the support means so much to our entire team. Our guys fed off the energy in the building, we are grateful for all that came out to the game. Great win by our guys. We have been battling injury and illness all week and we had a lot of guys show the toughness required to get the win tonight. Converse is extremely well coached and a dangerous team with their shot making ability. Playing them is always a game of runs because they can make those threes in bunches. One of the best things about our team is the depth and how many players are ready when their number is called- tonight I thought Kolbe Ashe was phenomenal. Kolbe is our floor general and one of our leaders, and he has been working so hard every day- it was so good to see him have an awesome game." Continuing, "It's always rewarding to see those guys that work so hard at this get rewarded, and Kolbe embodies hard work. I thought Paul Hosey energy changed our team. Paul made hustle plays on both ends of the court- and our whole program feeds off his energy. Paul is another guy that has been so committed to the process and comes in every day with a blue collar work ethic. Both Karl and Carl continue to lead us. They are seeing a number of different defensive schemes every night and they continue to produce, and make game winning plays. Those two are awesome. I love our grit we showed on defense and we dominated the glass. I am lucky to have a team that wants to win badly."
