YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College Softball posted the eighth best GPA (3.72) in DII, as the NFCA revealed its Easton Top 10 GPAs for its collegiate divisions. Additionally, the Mountain Lions had 23 players earn Easton NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.

For the second year in a row, Jessie Homesley's team landed on the Easton NFCA Team GPA list and vaulted up 15 spots from 2022-23.

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,573 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2023-24. NCAA Division III followed with 2,285 and NCAA Division II with 1,510. NAIA and junior colleges came in with 873 and 808 student-athletes, respectively. Five student-athletes from Penn State Brandywine earned recognition in the Other Four-Year category.

Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
