Young Harris, GA| The Mountain Lions men's lacrosse team has been on a tear recently and continued that on Saturday (April 13) afternoon, as it was senior day in the Enchanted Valley. Senior players Wyatt Peek, Jacob Haas, Bryce Parrish, and Avery Bradshaw were honored after the YHC took care of business against the Hawks.
Young Harris moved up to 6-7 overall this season and 3-3 in Conference Carolinas matchups. Chowan University fell to 5-7 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The Mountain Lions return to action for the final regular season game of the year on Friday (Apr. 19) evening against Conference Carolinas opponent North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina.
Quoting Head Coach Branden Geldart:
"The team really controlled the pace of the game well today. We had a tough opponent whose strengths are pushing pace and creating transition offense. In order to be successful we had to limit their opportunities and execute our offense. Our defense had a great day today and our offense handled the challenges that their zone sent our way. Wyatt Peek had a very successful senior day with 2 goals and 3 assists, and our faceoff unit was a difference maker going 65% overall."
