GREENWOOD, SC. Young Harris finished day two of Bearcat Fleet Tournament 1-1 against the Flagler Saints and Lander Bearcats (Feb 17th). Hannah Carey continued her impressive plate appearances in Game 1, leading the Mountain Lions to a 7-4 victory over the Saints. YHC fell short against the Lander Bearcats in Game 2 with a score of 7-3.
The Mountain Lions move to 10-5 on the 2024 season. The Saints moved to 11-5 and the Bearcats moved to 9-2. YHC will head to Emory & Henry on March 1st to take on the Wasps. The first pitch is scheduled for 3PM. A double-header will take place the following day at 1PM.

Young Harris defeated the Flagler Saints with a final score of 7-4.

Two HRs in the first inning from Hannah Carey and Gracie Hughes put YHC on top 3-0.

The Saints retaliated in the following innings. Mackenzie Smith hit a solo shot in the second and Paige Maseda went yard in back-to-back at bats. The game was tied 4-4 in the fourth.

Trinity Aycock and Hannah Carey lifted the Mountain Lions to a 7-4 lead in the fifth. Carey was 2-4 on the day with 4 RBIs.

Emma Black got the win for YHC on 3.1 IP with 4 strikeouts.
Game 2

Avery Fielden walked with the bases loaded and Addie Heal reached on a fielder's choice in the third to get the Mountain Lions on the board. Lander remained ahead 5-2.

Abbie Behe hit a two-run HR in the 4th to stretch the Bearcat lead to 7-2.

Trinity Aycock was 2-3 at the plate with an RBI.
