GREENWOOD, S.C.| The Mountain Lions faced some tough competition on day one of the Bearcat Fleet Tournament, ultimately falling to Emory & Henry and Limestone (Feb 16th). YHC had some hot innings at the plate but struggled to find their rhythm throughout the day.
The Mountain Lions move to 9-4 on the season. The Wasps start their season 1-0 while the Saints move to 8-2. YHC will play Flagler College at 12PM and Lander University at 4PM tomorrow (Feb 17th).

Game 1

Young Harris lost Game 1 to Emory & Henry with a final score of 6-3.

Morgan Silvis doubled to left center for an RBI in the first inning.

Grace Young hit her first HR of the year, getting Young Harris on the board in their half of the first. Hannah Rizzuto and Morgan Johnson kept things going at the plate, each with an RBI. YHC jumped out to a 3-1 lead.

The Wasps responded in the following innings, as Lydia Taylor and Rachel Hill each hit solo HRs to tie the game at three.

Emory & Henry finished the seventh inning with three RBIs thanks to Katelyn Siekerka, Tristyn Tofano, and Ashlyn Rachon.
Game 2

Faith Callaway, Katie Wilbur, and Abigail Price were successful at the plate this afternoon for the Saints, each with an RBI.

The Mountain Lions struggled offensively, only having two hits to the Saints' six.

Breanna Clayton picked up her fourth win of the season, only allowing one run and adding four strikeouts.
