FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions women's soccer team has drastically improved since their first five games of the season, where they started 0-4-1. Since their September 18th loss to Clayton State, YHC has gone 6-1-1, a true testament to the leadership abilities of head coach Avram Allen and assistant coach Michael Ohana.
In Tuesday (Oct. 22) evening's match against the Emmanuel University Lions, the Mountain Lions took down Emmanuel for the second time this season. A big part of the YHC turnaround has been their offensive production. Through the first five games of the season, Young Harris was averaging under one goal per game; over the past eight games, the Mountain Lions averaged over three goals per game. The final in tonight's game? Young Harris defeated the Lions 2-1.
QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH AVRAM ALLEN:
"It was down to the wire versus a tough Emmanuel team. I am proud of our team for coming away with the 3 points on the road today. We now prepare for North Greenville."
