MONTEVALLO, Ala. | Connor Frederick scored four goals to lead the University of Montevallo past Young Harris College 22-8 in a Peach Belt Conference men's lacrosse match Saturday (April 22) afternoon.

The Falcons improved to 10-6 overall and to 3-2 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 3-12 and 1-4. Both team advance to the PBC Tournament next weekend. The Mountain Lions earned the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 seed University of Alabama in Huntsville in a 7 p.m. first-round match Friday (April 28) in Greenwood, South Carolina.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Montevallo jumped out to a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
• Nic Baker led the Mountain Lions with three goals, while Tim Blanch and David Traywick each scored twice. Hunter Stagg accounted for the other goal.
• Jacob Haas and Evan Anderson each won four face-offs.
• Ben Soenen led the Mountain Lions with eight ground balls, while Haas and Kieran Isbister each scooped up five. Wyatt Peek, Jacob Miller and Gage Duncan each recorded three.
• Isbister led YHC with three caused turnovers, while Soenen and Duncan had two each.
• Dylan Wilbur had 10 saves in the YHC goal, while Bryce Parrish recorded three.
